Part Number: AAL-613
Percussion sporting rifles of this style were originally made in England, circa 1850 - 1860. This rifle is stocked in walnut with broadly space curls of figure, and trimmed in iron furniture. The Alexander Henry style percussion lock has a faux color case hardened finish. The rifle is assembled with a Green Mountain IBS .50 caliber barrel with a slow twist. A 3" elevation adjustable tang sight and Lyman globe front sight are fitted.
The .50 caliber Green Mountain IBS barrel is 1" octagon by 32" overall length. The bore is cut rifled with eight lands and grooves with a slow twist for a tightly patched round ball. Green Mountain Muzzle Loading Rifle Barrels are machined from high quality American made bar stock, A.I.S.I. 1137 modified, stress relieved, annealed, certified rifle barrel quality steel. All barrels are drilled from solid stock, reamed to a high degree of smoothness, then optically checked for straightness. Very close tolerances are maintained.
