Part Number: AAI-463
This antique single barrel shotgun is stocked in English walnut, with checkered wrist. The 31" 11 gauge barrel is marked Real Twist on the breech end of the barrel. The iron furniture is accented with nickel silver escutcheons around the wedge key. The back action lock is marked W. Chance & Son, who we believe to be the same makers that supplied Trade Guns from the 1830's to mid 1850's.
The 11 gauge barrels are 31" including the breech. The barrel is octagon for 5" with a sixteen flat transition to a single wedding band at 9-1/2". The muzzle end of the barrel is fitted with a small bead front sight and silver arrow pointing at the muzzle. The bore is dark and pitted. The barrel is served by the original tapered ramrod, the hidden end is missing the cover for the worm, which is still attached.
